Another James Bond movie is headed to the theaters and James Bond fans all around the world are lining up to see Daniel Craig in action as 007. Part of the lure is the long history of the movies and the books written by Ian Fleming which create a whole world of superspy adventures with beautiful women, fast cars, yachts and gadgets. I've seen Bond-related vehicles come up for auction before but I didn't know, until I saw a recent article in the Chicago Tribune, that there is actually an Ian Fleming Foundation, a group of owners of some of these vehicles.

I've been a fan of artist Shepard Fairey for years but he has sprung into the mainstream lately. Not only has his Obama poster been a key part of the campaign but Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art hosting the first museum survey of Shepard Fairey's street art. Now Shepard Fairey has his own wine. Kenwood Vineyards has commission a piece from Shepard Fairey for the 30th Anniversary Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon.

The new Double Cross Luxury Vodka, which is filtered through diamond dust and is the only Slovakian vodka to be released in the United States, is produced in the 13th century village of Stara Lubovna in the foothills of the breathtaking Tatra Mountain range. The seven-times-distilled spirit uses only 100 percent organic, estate-grown winter wheat and mountain spring water drawn from aquifers located 200-feet below ground level.

There are plenty of times you open a bottle of wine and never finish it. You let it sit and it inevitably goes bad and you feel so very guilty for letting some this precious intoxicating substance go to waste. I haven't ever come across that problem however, but if I did this Home Three Bottle Wine Saver would be just the thing I need. It is very useful as it has the same preservative used in top wineries to maintain the integrity of your open wine bottles.

A new Hawaiian vodka has hit the market and uses Maui Gold pineapple juice as its base. The Pau Maui vodka is 80-proof and the pineapple taste disappears during the filtration process. It is only the second Hawaiian vodka. Ocean Vodka, which launched a couple of years ago features organic grain from Idaho and desalinated deep ocean water from the Big Island. Pau Maui vodka is currently only available in Hawaii.

I'm not savvy at all to the nuances in what makes a dinner party a success, but I hear that entertaining in your home is as much about the presentation as it is about the company -- the homes that people feel most relaxed in and want to go back to are usually the ones that have are enjoyable for both the company and the dining experience.

The opportunities to spend a lot on whisky just keep coming. For this one though, you'll have to fly to Hong Kong. The Balvenie Distillery has released 151 bottles from a single cask of The Balvenie, cask number 10378 from 1964, to be sold exclusively in Hong Kong International Airport. The whisky comes in a cherry wood box and each bottle is individually hand numbered.

Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey is basing the British fashion house's new Fall/Winter 2008-09 ad campaign on one of our favorite movies from last year, rock photographer Anton Corbijn's Control. Bailey hired Mario Testino to mimic the moody flick about Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis in the ads, which are shot in black-and-white like the movie.

In our Classicist column about Veuve Clicquot's collaboration with Riva Yachts the other day we fell to musing about Dolce Vita style on the Riviera. Of course, nothing exemplifies seaside sprezzatura quite like Campari, the classic Italian aperitif. The bold red spirit with the sexy ads starring Salma Hayek (above) has been around since 1860, but that doesn't mean they've run out of things to do with it.

We could hardly be called big fans of pre-mixed drinks, so we were not overly enthusiastic when a bottle of Bacardi's new "ready to serve" Classic Mojito cocktail first arrived. Its atypical clean design and high-quality ingredients - Bacardi Superior rum, the kind they've been making since 1862, and natural mint and lime flavorings - softened us a little, however, so in the spirit of journalistic inquiry we decided to give it a try.

Will Scotland's national drink end up being wine in 70 years? Global warming and the resulting rising temperatures may make barley and wheat necessary for whisky harder to grow. But Professor Richard Selley, of Imperial College London says that just a couple of degrees in average temperature could mean that Scotland's green expanses could support vines. Someday we could all be sipping the Loch Ness Chardonnay.

The battle for the world's most expensive cocktail remains a fierce one with many bars and restaurants promoting a cocktail that is made pricey by the addition of a piece of jewelry plunked inside. But one of the world's most expensive hotels sounds like the perfect place to enjoy the new contender in the ultra costly cocktail sweepstakes. The chief mixologist at Skyview Bar in the Burj Al Arab in Dubai has created the "27.321," named for the cost in UAE dirham (27,321 AED which is about $7,450) the floor where the Skyview Bar is located (27th) and the height of the Burj Al Arab.
