At the Fall 2009 Chanel show yesterday in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld, who is known for his quirky accessories (who could forget the faux-shopping bag handbags from last season), sent tightly sealed plastic cases down the runway filled with an assortment of goodies from the design house. Among the viewable contents were lipstick, wallet, sunglasses, perfume, LagerPod, compact, and the famed quilted purse known as the 2.55. Snagging one of these is like hitting every floor at Saks Fifth Avenue!

Erge, an LA based brand, just signed up yet another celeb as one of their fans! The quirky line boasts an array of unique designs, all while staying true to using baby soft burnout treatment. Brenda Song stopped by the showroom and purchased her very own “fallen” lace scoop top in primrose. It’s super cute and retails for $66. Several other celebs love the Erge design. Jennette McCurdy wore the classic long sleeved hoodie to a Nickelodeon event, while Tori Spelling sported the classic long sleeved v-neck on New Years day!

It's not often that something hits the beauty market that's entirely new, but if I'm not mistaken, Dove's HairMinimising deodorant is the first product of it's type. I've used hair minimising lotions before, but this new product - in both spray and roll-on varieties - is a new one on me. Relying on what's described as 'Pro-Epil Complex' to help reduce the appearance of hair above the skin's surface, daily use of the deodorant will result in underarms that feel hair free for longer.

Debuting a rejuvenated new look overseas, Katie Holmes looked positively radiant at the Tokyo premiere of Valkyrie on March 11. Doesn’t it seem like Tom’s world press tour is never gonna end? First and foremost, Katie’s glossy new extensions are gorgeous. Love the side bangs and the added volume, and the new look couldn’t have come at a better time – let’s face it, the bob was looking a little drab and dated. For the red carpet, Katie chose a colorblock dress by Jason Wu with a blazing red skirt and fuchsia geometric print bodice (try similarly dramatic looks like Black Halo’s Boatneck.

Brenda Song looks fabulous in a printed tank, black bubble skirt, black tights and pumps at The World of Disney store last week. Brenda is wearing a Dream Culture’s black mini bubble skirt. It features a 98% Cotton/2% Spandex blend for a perfect soft and stretchy fit. I love the pleats that extend out in a half sunburst. I think it helps flatter all shapes and sizes! Selena Gomez is also a an of Dream Culture, which just launched their e-commerce site! In celebration, they are offering 50% off key pieces all month long.

Suede? Not really a springtime fabric. It’s too plush and matte and touch-y. Most lines stay away from using it in their warm-weather lines, saving it instead for winter when its tactile nature is more welcomed by most people. But Jimmy Choo? Jimmy Choo does not listen to your silly fabric rules. If they want to make a spring bag out of suede, then that’s exactly what they’ll do! As a result, we present the Jimmy Choo Monna Large Tote. And despite the fact that suede and summer seem like an unlikely duo, I think the combo totally works here.

Getting married doesn't have to mean buying into a world of frills and lace; if it's simple elegance you're looking for in a dress, there's plenty of choice out there if you're willing to look for it. You'll need to dig through a lot of fluff and meringue before you find the ideal style for you, but whether you're going for a high end designer dress or an off-the-peg number, simpler dresses can be flattering, stylish and cool. So here's my pick of this season's off-the-peg dresses that use time-honoured tailoring techniqus to enhance your silhouette with minimal fuss and not a scrap of lace or chiffon in sight.
